FAQs

How long will it take to build my kitchen?
Given our experience, we know that planning a kitchen and designing the cabinetry can take several months in itself. There is a lot that goes into custom cabinetry design, especially a kitchen. Depending on our schedule, it often takes several weeks to map out the elevations and determine the best cabinetry floor plan. At that point, it takes another several weeks to process the order with Kountry Kraft, both on our end, and then on theirs. Once the cabinetry is sent in for processing, it is generally 8 weeks from that point until delivery. In total, from the initial design to delivery it typically takes 3-4 months. It is best to speak with us first so that we can plan the construction schedule with you and your builder.
How long does it take to install my kitchen cabinetry?
This depends on the scale of the project. Typically, it takes a full work week to set all of the cabinetry boxes. We custom “Scribe” our cabinetry into your walls and take extreme care when installing. Once the bases are set, the countertops will need to be templated. Generally, assuming the floors are done and finished, we will wrap up the installation of the cabinetry moldings and other cabinet features while the countertops are being fabricated.
Can I use my own architect and designer?
We’ve worked with many different architects on our projects. We fill our role as the kitchen designers and work with anyone who needs our services.
Do you work with any preferred vendors for appliances, plumbing and electrical fixtures, etc.?
Yes. We have a group of trusted vendors who we rely on for timeliness and fair pricing. We recommend them because our clients are always pleased with their professionalism and consultation. We’d be happy to direct you to them and encourage you to use them.
Do you design custom cabinetry for other rooms?
Yes we do. From vanities to family rooms, we can design and install custom cabinets to match your home’s décor.
Do you use subcontractors?
We are not contractors, but can refer one. Every client will need a contractor/project manager for us to consult with to relay the locations of electric, plumbing and HVAC within the kitchen space.
